Next stop Saracens

Tomorrow afternoon sees Newcastle Red Bulls travel to Saracens in The Prem Cup. Red Bulls will be looking to build on their win at Northampton last weekend and Saracens put one over their London rivals Harlequins.

Solid Saracens lineup

Saracens have named their squad and will be led by Harry Wilson in the second row who locks down alongside prospect Olamide Sodeke. The back row sees Nathan Michelow start at number eight, he'll be hoping that his second game against Newcastle this season lasts longer than his trip to Kingston Park where he was sent off.

The back line sees Charlie Bracken and ex-Newcastle man Louie Johnson line up at half back. Olly Hartley and Sam Spink form a powerful looking centre partnership, Spink was one of those who was catching the eye for Wasps for before their demise.

The bench has the experience of Ivan Van Zyl and Lucio Cinti. The exciting youngster Noah Caluori wears the twenty three shirt, I think everyone's seen what he's capable of in his breakthrough season so far.

Overall Saracens have named a mixed side but you feel they have enough to be a formidable test for Newcastle Red Bulls.

Mixed Red Bulls side

Ollie Fletcher leads the side from hooker, flanked by Luan De Bruin and Micky Rewcastle at prop. The second row sees the experience of Seb De Chaves and the returning Tim Cardall. Tom Gordon provides experience in the back row alongside the youth of Adam Scott and Reuben Parsons.

James Elliott and Boeta Chamberlain form the half back partnership. Stewart Moore gets more Red Bulls gametime under his belt alongside Oli Spencer in the centres. Looking at the opposing centres, they'll have to be on their metal. Nathan Greenwood, Stefan Coetzee and Sam Waugh form an exciting looking back three. Hopefully Greenwood can get the ball in space to show some of the undoubted pace that he has to cause Saracens problems.

On the bench Hame Faiva, Connor Hancock and Richard Palframan cover the front row, the experience of Faiva and Palframan could be key later in the game. Finn Baker and Ollie Leatherbarrow cover the rest of the forwards. Sam Stuart, Cameron Hutchinson and Harrison Obatoyinbo complete the bench.

Chance to put a marker down

With all roads leading to the Leicester league game, players will be looking to put down a marker for squad selection for that game. Saracens will always have a bit of steel about them but Red Bulls are capable of getting back to back wins on the road.
