Tomorrow night sees Northampton Saints visit Kingston Park in round four of The Gallagher Prem. After two games on the road, Red Bulls will be happy to be back at home.
Familiar faces return
Northampton have named their team including Callum Chick at number eight who captains the side, showing how much of an impact he's already had so early in his Northampton career. Callum's been outstanding for Saints so far this season and will relish his return to Kingston Park. Trevor Davison also starts in the front row for Northampton, I'm sure both will get a warm welcome from the Kingston Park faithful.
Lively Saints line up
Northampton are known for their attacking play, but last week against Leicester they stood up physically. They have recruited the gargantuan South African lock JJ Van Der Mescht, interestingly here they also include Sam Graham at openside, he normally plays at eight.
If the forwards do the job then Alex Mitchell and Fin Smith can get a backline going that can cause anyone problems. Smith especially will be keen to put in a strong performance as his England rivals George Ford and Marcus Smith have both started their seasons in excellent form.
Rory Hutchinson put in one of the performances of the season so far in Northampton's win at Kingsholm in round two. On the wing, keep an eye out for Edoardo Todaro, the young Italian winger on his first Prem start who is getting rave reviews. Another Lion is at full-back in Tommy Freeman who some feel may end up at outside centre in the longer term.
On the bench there's a standout name in Henry Pollock, the young back row forward who forced his way onto a Lions tour last summer with his performances especially in Europe. In a sport where the focus is more on the team than the individual, Pollock breaks that mould and when he's on the pitch you want to know what he's doing. He's box office and part of the new breed of player.
Changes for Red Bulls
Red Bulls make changes with Chamberlain switching to full-back meaning Brett Connon starts at ten alongside Cruz. Cruz as I said last week, looked lively at Sale and his battle with Alex Mitchell will be a good one! Alex Hearle is in the centre with Liam Williams making his home debut on the wing.
The pack is unchanged and they may feel they have something to prove at what's going to be a very busy Kingston Park tomorrow night. They were outmuscled at Sale last Friday and won't want that to happen against Northampton but it will be a challenge against a Saints side that have added physicality in the summer.
Do the basics well
Yes, Northampton have started well, but for Red Bulls to get anything from this game they have to get the basics right. Set piece and kick chase are going to be huge tomorrow night. Northampton have gone with a six-two split on the bench, you know what's coming with a bench like that.
Kingston Park, make some noise!
The weather's getting cooler, it's a Friday night and Red Bulls fans you can make a difference. Every home game is a huge opportunity for Red Bulls to get points. It's a clean slate, a fresh week and a new challenge. I'm always of the opinion that at home you need to set the tone and get the crowd going. To be fair, against Saracens they started well but Sarries strangled the game during the red card period. The challenge is to start well and continue putting pressure on Northampton throughout. The crowd will feed off this and make Kingston Park a place that the opposition don't want to be.

What’s the fascination with Red Bull, it’s Newcastle, sorry you wrote about Northampton and Saints, never Newcastle it’s Red Bull. The fixation on this is worrying for Rugby Union are RB just going to pick up the whole package and move it somewhere else ?
